LWL is a company limited by guarantee with a Board of ten directors. The current directors are Stephanie Igoe (Chairperson), Elsie Moxham (Founder), Tess Murphy (Founder), Nancy Bermingham, Mary Carleton-Reynolds, Mary Carthy, Vicky Crosby, Mary Farrell, Catherine Lynch and Sheila Reilly. The role of the board of directors is to shape the strategic direction of the organisation in the long term, ensure legislative and funder compliance, prepare and agree interim Strategic Plans, guide anagement performance and monitor progress towards objectives.
Stephanie Igoe has been involved with LWL for many years on many levels from using creche facilities, to taking classes, to being a Board member. Stephanie is a former Longford ICA Federation President, former ICA Federation Secretary and one of the co-writers of Longford Women’s Voices. She currently sits on the Longford County Childcare Committee, the Longford County Council Special Policy Committee for Housing and the LWL Manifesto Group.
Elsie Moxham the first directorship we have on file for them was in 1995 at Longford Women’s Link Limited. Their newest directorship is with Longford Women’s Link Limited. The company was established 28 Nov 1995 and is based in Longford. So far, Elsie has held 5 directorships, one of which is currently active, and four are no longer active.
Along with Mary O’Hara and Elsie Moxham, Tess Murphy was a founder member of Longford Women’s Link. She retired as CEO in 2011 but continues to be involved at Board level and as a member of the Longford Women’s Manifesto Group.
Mary Carleton-Reynolds is a a Board member of LWL a local women’s organization. She is a County Liberian (Longford County Council).
Catherine Lynch is a Board member of LWL a local women’s organization that seeks to ensure women of Longford can reach their full potential in a safe and equal society. Catherine Lynch previously worked as Head of services with LWL. She has worked with NCCWN and the National Consultative Committee on Racism – NCCRI. She also lectures in UCD and NUI Maynooth on equality issues and has worked with the European Network Against Racism – ENAR Ireland.
Sheila Reilly is the Editor of the Longford Leader and has been a member of the board of Longford Women’s Link since 2009.
Nancy Bermingham is retired civil servant having worked over 39 years both as a frontline worker and at managerial levels mainly in DSP. Since my retirement in 2012 I have completed a UCD certificate in Social Justice and Equality. She is involved in Longford Women Manifesto Group and she is secretary of Backstage Theatre Group.
Vicky Crosby, fellow of the Institute of Certified Accountants (FCCA) is an owner of TaxAssist Accountants Longford, Roscommon, Mullingar, Athlone & Carrick-On-Shannon.
